Hi, and welcome to The Empty Nester Life . I’m TJay (Tabitha actually) and when I started this journey, there wasn’t too much information for me to get the help and advise I needed. So I was inspired to develop this website to hopefully help others who are going through this exciting, scary and emotional new chapter of life. I’m here (as well as my little group of empty nesters) to help with inspiration, advise and pretty much trying to make a go to station, or “a one stop shop” for anyone that is either a new Empty Nester, already one, or a long time EN.

I’ve just turned 50, and I have 3 beautiful adult children. My husband and I are ready to truly enjoy this new empty nester life. We obviously still work, but not as hard as we used to after selling our wonderful little cafe a couple of years ago. So we want to travel, and see everything we can, and experience everything life has to offer outside of our comfort zone (our town). It was a little scary to try new things, but we pushed through and are loving this new time. It’s about us now, and we are re engaging as a couple; it’s almost like dating all over again. But enough about me.

So, even though everything might seem too emotional, too stressful, too much at times, we are here for you. It is an exciting time, and it represents a life transition from looking after a family into a time that re focuses on you (guilt free).
